We arrived at the club mid evening,
21 foot Lund in tow, hungry and
tired from our drive. We found the
key, secured our gear, and crossed
back into Hancock  NY for a gourmet
meal at Mc Donalds before return-
ing to the club to retire for  the night.

The morning brought cool and misty
conditions on the river.  It was back
across the River to Hancock for break-
fast and to purchase a NY license just
in case it was needed. "We found a
small diner and had a great breakfast
and a then a nice little drive around
the area before returning to the club
and our day of fishing.

We met our Guide "Buzzy" at the
fly shop Just before noon. We fol-
lowed him upstream to his area to
launch and our adventure began.
The cold foggy mist was thick and
visibility on the water was at a min-
imun, but as soon as we were drift-
ing we could hear gentle as well as
splashy slurps of trout taking flies
from the surface. "Match the Hatch"
and we would be in buisness. It was
the large Slate Drake in all it's glory
and we had purchased plenty of comparaduns from the fly shop before setting out.  This fly pattern would be the choice for the day. The hatch seemed to be off and on the rest of afternoon
into the evening.
We broke for lunch around three 'o clock and had a couple
of delicious sandwiches then it was back on the river and
more fishing till the light of day dissapeared and we reached
the club campground where our guide resides.  There we were treated to a hot cup of coffee and a few more wonderful stories to complete our day.  We both left with a kind of satisfaction that is hard to describe as well as some of the finest fly fishing memories one could cherish..... Our hats are off to the Delaware River Club and our guide Buzzy for making this adventure so fantastic.
